Linx Raises $50 Million to Strengthen Its Position in Cybersecurity

Linx Security, a New York-based company, has recently succeeded in raising $50 million in a Series B funding round. This round saw participation from several early investors who had already contributed to the success of Wiz, a company that has established itself as a major player in the cybersecurity field over the past decade. Among Linx's supporters are prestigious names such as Index Ventures, Cyberstarts, and Insight Partners, who also invested in Wiz during its early days. The founders of Wiz have also provided support as angel investors.

Historical Ties with Wiz

Israel Duanis, the CEO and co-founder of Linx, shared in an interview that his history with Wiz dates back 25 years, when he shared a tent with Assaf Rappaport in the army. Rappaport is now the co-founder and CEO of Wiz. This personal connection underscores the deep ties between the two companies. Linx was founded by Israel Duanis and Niv Goldenberg in 2023.

Google and Wiz: A Record Acquisition

Recently, Google finalized the acquisition of Wiz for a record amount of $32 billion. This all-cash transaction represents the largest acquisition in Google's history and one of the most significant in the cybersecurity sector. The process, which took about a year after facing regulatory scrutiny, highlights the growing importance of cloud security and artificial intelligence for major tech companies.

Linx: A New Approach to Identity Security

While Wiz has focused on cloud security, Linx aims to provide the next generation of identity security. Israel Duanis explained that the identity market is currently undergoing a transformation similar to that of the cloud five to seven years ago. According to a study conducted by Palo Alto Networks, nearly 90% of security incidents are now related to identity failures. Linx strives to address this issue by continuously mapping every identity within an organization and intervening as soon as an anomaly is detected.

A Proactive Response to Threats

"We are aware of the increasing number of attacks happening daily, and this will only rise," said Duanis. "We want to offer a proactive solution." At the heart of this strategy is an innovative product called Autopilot. This autonomous agent continuously monitors identity activity.

A Bold Bet on the Future of Cybersecurity

Teddie Wardi, managing partner at Insight Partners, expressed his enthusiasm for Linx in an interview. "What attracted me is that this solution is truly ready for the AI era. It's not just a band-aid, but a bold bet that could reinvent the industry," he stated. Wardi also noted that the growing interest in companies like Linx reflects a broader shift in the cybersecurity sector. In 2025, cybersecurity startups raised approximately $18 billion, marking an exceptional funding year, according to data from Crunchbase.

AI: A Battleground for Cybersecurity

"Today, it's the attackers' AI versus the defenders' AI," emphasized Wardi. "Without AI-enabled solutions on the defenders' side, the environment becomes extremely challenging." Linx enters an already saturated but aging market dominated by traditional identity governance players like SailPoint and Saviynt. Duanis explained that these systems are struggling to keep pace with the rapid changes driven by AI. "Companies founded 20 years ago sought to solve problems periodically. Today, it is imperative to do so in real-time."
