Available starting April 17 for Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise subscribers, this tool operates on Anthropic's advanced Opus 4.7 model, unveiled the day before. Claude Design allows users to create complete visuals simply by describing what they want, making visual creation accessible to everyone, regardless of their design skill level.

A Simplified Approach to Visual Creation

Claude Design stands out for its ability to replace traditional design software like Figma or PowerPoint with a simple conversational interaction. Users can describe their needs in plain language, and Claude generates an initial version of the design. The interface then allows users to refine the project by adding comments, modifying text, or adjusting colors, spacing, and layout through real-time sliders. For companies with a defined visual identity, Claude can automatically apply these elements to each new project.

The use cases are varied:

Olivia Xu, a senior designer at Brilliant, noted that pages requiring more than twenty instructions in other tools only need two with Claude Design. This promising efficiency remains to be confirmed in practice, but it highlights the tool's potential to simplify visual creation.
