Full Analysis

Anthropic recently announced a significant update to its virtual assistant Claude, integrating fifteen new applications aimed at simplifying the daily lives of its users. Among these applications are popular services such as Spotify, Uber, Uber Eats, Audible, AllTrails, TripAdvisor, and Instacart. Other applications like StubHub, Taskrabbit, Thumbtack, Viator, Resy, Booking.com, Intuit TurboTax, and Intuit Credit Karma are also included in this update. These connectors are now accessible across all subscriptions, including the currently beta mobile version.

Until now, Claude's connectors were primarily geared towards the professional world, with integrations for tools like Microsoft, Canva, and Asana. Since July 2025, over 200 integrations have been added, but none specifically targeted the daily needs of users.

With this new feature, Anthropic allows users to manage their daily activities without having to juggle multiple applications. For example, to plan a hike, AllTrails can suggest trails suited to the user’s preferences directly within Claude. If multiple connectors can address a request, Claude presents the most relevant options, allowing the user to make their choice. In a single conversation thread, it is now possible to switch from an AllTrails recommendation to a reservation on Resy, order an Uber, and add items to an Instacart cart without changing applications.

Anthropic is committed to not including advertisements or sponsored responses in interactions with Claude. Before any purchase or reservation, the user is consulted, and data from connected applications is not used to train AI models. Users can also disconnect a service with a single click from the "Connectors" tab.

Claude AI also offers the ability to upload files up to 100,000 tokens, or about 75,000 words, and provides advanced customization while adhering to ethical design. However, the long-term viability of this commitment to an ad-free experience remains to be proven, especially with the increase in commercial partners. OpenAI is already developing its own agentic shopping streams, and Google has its advertising economy.

While these integrations are already present among competitors like ChatGPT, Anthropic stands out by offering automatic suggestions based on user activities. However, for European users, the availability of these services remains limited, as many are focused on the American market.
