Google has recently made significant improvements to its Gemini application, fixing several bugs that affected usage limits. According to Josh Woodward, Vice President of Google, a major issue involved excessive quota consumption by one or two Omni videos, which has now been addressed. Subscribers to Ultra now enjoy double the generations of Omni videos.
Additionally, complex requests made to the 3.1 Pro model, which involved large files, previously consumed too much quota. To remedy this, Google has introduced a cap on maximum consumption per request, ensuring more efficient use of subscription plans.
Among other notable changes, failed requests are no longer charged, and Flash Lite requests are now free. Advanced features, such as Deep Research, benefit from more detailed consumption displays, providing better transparency to users.
Furthermore, selecting a specific model is now retained across all sessions. These updates were presented at the I/O conference, where Google also unveiled a revamped version of the Gemini application, incorporating new features, an agent mode, and a new pricing structure for Gemini AI subscriptions.
