Lovable Invites Itself to iOS and Android
Lovable, a vibe-coding tool that has already impressed with over 25 million projects completed, is expanding its accessibility by launching a mobile app on iOS and Android. This innovation allows users to create applications and websites using AI, without requiring coding skills. Vibe-coding, although sometimes prone to notable failures, continues to gain popularity with giants like Google and Hostinger investing in this field.
A Mobile App for Greater Flexibility
The startup Lovable recently announced that its no-code AI app creator is now available on the App Store and Google Play Store. This mobile app aims to provide users with the ability to develop their ideas anytime and anywhere. According to Lovable:
- “The Lovable mobile app allows you to create wherever you are. Start a project on your laptop, pick it up comfortably on your couch, and continue to improve it wherever you are.”
Users can dictate or type their requests, letting the AI handle the development. A notification is sent when the project is ready for review. Like the web version, the mobile app generates a complete final product, including code, design, and infrastructure. More than 20 connectors are available, such as Notion, Github, Shopify, and Slack.
A Complex Launch Context
The Lovable app primarily targets developers, entrepreneurs, and marketing managers looking to complete a project without coding. The mobile version promises increased flexibility for these users. However, this launch occurs in a tense context: Apple recently blocked several vibe-coding services, such as Replit and Vibecode, for failing to comply with App Store security rules, particularly the prohibition against uploading new code or modifying an app's functions after its approval. Developers have thus had to transfer their app previews to web browsers.
Lovable, however, seems to have overcome these obstacles and is available for free on iOS and Android.
