Nvidia is set to make a notable entry into the PC market in collaboration with Microsoft. According to reports from Axios, the first Windows computers featuring Nvidia chips as the main processor will be unveiled at two major events: Computex in Taiwan and Microsoft’s Build conference in San Francisco. Microsoft’s Surface brand and Dell are expected to showcase their new devices.
At the same time, Microsoft is working on innovative software that will allow AI agents to manage tasks directly on Windows PCs. This project is based on OpenClaw, an initiative launched earlier this year with a dedicated team led by Omar Shahine. Peter Steinberger, founder of OpenClaw and currently at OpenAI, will participate in a session at the Build conference, suggesting a possible integration of this framework into the new PCs.
Omar Shahine recently announced on X that he is integrating OpenClaw and personal agents into Microsoft 365, signaling a move towards more sophisticated AI applications. This approach marks a departure from Microsoft’s earlier attempt, the "PC Copilot+", which aimed to promote AI as a selling point without notable success. This time, the goal is to integrate AI agents into concrete workflows, although concerns about security and reliability surrounding OpenClaw persist, even with local operation.
