Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang emphasizes the growing importance of this sector. Indeed, the continent has invested a total of 5 billion euros in physical AI projects, spread across 674 initiatives, with an average funding of 72 million euros per project.
Munich: The Uncontested Leader
Munich is at the forefront with an impressive investment of 927.4 million euros. The German city hosts 1,633 ongoing projects, making it the most dynamic hub in terms of project volume and funding.
Berlin and London: Prolific Hubs
Berlin and London stand out for the number of projects, each boasting 4,000 ongoing initiatives. However, investments are much lower, with only 7.5 million euros for Berlin and a modest 0.1 million euros for London.
Paris and Amsterdam: Significant Investments
Paris follows with an investment of 657 million euros spread across 819 projects. Amsterdam is not far behind, with 408 million euros invested in 805 projects.
Zurich: A Major Player
Zurich also stands out with an investment of 931 million euros and 1,200 ongoing projects, rivaling Munich in terms of funding.
Other European Hubs
Copenhagen has invested 37 million euros in 292 projects. Stockholm, with an investment of 24 million euros, has only 3 ongoing projects. Oslo, with 771 million euros, has 4 ongoing projects, while Helsinki, with 640 million euros, has only 2.
