Anthropic, a company specializing in artificial intelligence, is recruiting for its first data centers outside the United States. According to job postings identified by Data Center Dynamics, the company is looking to build specialized teams for data center contracts in Europe and Australia.
The European position is based in London but covers several countries, including major data center hubs such as Frankfurt, London, Amsterdam, Paris, and Dublin. It also includes emerging markets in Northern and Southern Europe. In Australia, the role is centered around Sydney.
So far, Anthropic has exclusively worked with cloud providers. This initiative comes as its competitor OpenAI has paused its Stargate projects in the UK and Norway. Despite this new direction, Anthropic continues to benefit from strong partnerships with cloud giants like Google, AWS, and Microsoft, who are also investors in the company.
Alongside these collaborations, Anthropic plans to build its own data centers in the United States, with an estimated investment of $50 billion.
