Anthropic Launches into Vibe-Coding

Anthropic, the tech company known for its chatbot Claude, appears to be preparing a new vibe-coding tool. According to leaked images on the social media platform X, this tool would allow users to easily create applications such as AI chatbots, photo albums, and landing pages from simple instructions.

If this feature is confirmed, it could transform Claude into a comprehensive application creation platform, putting Anthropic in direct competition with specialized companies like Lovable.

Lovable: A Rising Startup

Founded in 2023 by Anton Osika and Fabian Hedin, Lovable has quickly become a reference in Europe for no-code application development. Last December, the startup raised $330 million, achieving an impressive valuation of $6.6 billion, tripling its value since July 2025.

Among its investors are heavyweights such as Accel, Creandum, Evantic, as well as CapitalG from Alphabet and Anthology from Melo Ventures.

Lovable's Strategy Against Tech Giants

Elena Verna, head of growth at Lovable, expressed her concerns regarding competition from large tech companies. In a podcast, she mentioned that companies like OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, and Apple pose a more serious threat than other vibe-coding startups.

To strengthen its position, Lovable is looking to integrate new teams and startups. Théo Daniellot, a former employee of Revolut and Ledger, has been recruited to lead the company's mergers and acquisitions efforts.

A Market in Transformation

Anthropic's initiative in vibe-coding comes shortly after the launch of a legal tool that has already shaken up the European legal startup sector. According to Jackson Ader, an analyst at KeyBanc, this strategy could extend to other areas such as sales, marketing, or finance.

Sifted reached out to Lovable and Anthropic for their comments on these developments.
