Anthropic Launches Claude Docs and Slides in Beta for Paid Plans

Anthropic adds document and presentation modules to Claude. Offered in a paid beta and integrated into a unified interface, they are activated based on subscription plans and are initially rolled out on Pro and Max. Creations originate from the chat and remain editable and collaborative.

Anthropic restricts access to Claude Docs and Slides to paying subscribers

Claude Docs, Claude Slides, and Claude Design are available in beta on paid plans. For Enterprise offerings, their activation is managed by administrators, who determine when they become available. The rollout begins on Pro and Max plans, accessible on the web, desktop, and mobile, with an extension planned for Team and Free offerings. These modules arrive with the merging of chat and Cowork into a single interface and can be accessed from the chat bar or through dedicated buttons. Claude Design also maintains an independent operation for those who use it separately.

Creation from chat and model-assisted writing

Docs and Slides allow users to generate documents and presentations from a query entered in the chat. For documents, writing is done collaboratively with the model, while for presentations, Claude provides an initial version of slides that the user can then modify. Content remains editable directly within the interface without returning to the chat, with the option to manually move elements or delegate a modification by describing it to Claude. Until now, Claude approached office tasks by generating files from the chat and through Artifacts, followed by the launch of Claude Design in April. These new modules represent an additional step with dedicated tools.

Comments directed to the model, shareable links, and export options

Comments are used like in a collaborative text editor and can be sent to the model regarding a specific passage or slide. Any creation from Docs, Slides, or Claude Design receives a unique link that can be shared and accessed both on the web and on mobile devices. By default, documents remain private, but it is possible to make them accessible to other users for simultaneous editing. Presentations can be launched directly from Claude and then exported to PowerPoint and PDF. In Claude Docs, collaboration occurs directly within the interface.
