Anthropic Unifies Claude and Launches Tools for Documents and Slides

Anthropic consolidates access to Claude chat, Cowork, and Artifacts into a single window and introduces dedicated features for presentations and documents. The launch will initially focus on Pro and Max offerings on web, desktop, and mobile, with an extension announced for the free and team plans.

Deployment First on Pro and Max, Extension Announced

The new features will first be available to Pro and Max subscribers of Claude on the web, desktop, and mobile in the coming weeks. Anthropic plans to subsequently offer them to users of the free and team plans. This update follows an enhancement of the memory layer in Cowork.

Presentations and Documents, from Desktop to Mobile

Anthropic now offers features for creating presentations and documents. Users can request the AI assistant to create, edit, and display slides, and then export everything in PDF or PowerPoint format. With the Docs feature, it is possible to structure sections, ask questions, and comment on entire parts. The produced content can be shared via link, modified on a phone, and a document started on the desktop can be continued from the mobile app.

Claude Brings All Its Tools into a Single Window

Claude's interface now combines chat, Cowork, and Artifacts into a single window. Claude Design, launched in April for website and prototype design, is available throughout the application. Anthropic had noticed that customers often hesitated on which tab to choose based on the task at hand. The new design automatically redirects requests without changing tabs or windows, in order to reduce this confusion. The memory layer in Cowork allows Claude to maintain the context of discussions.
