Apple Launches AI Assistance in iWork with Beta Access

Apple introduces AI assistance in Pages, Keynote, and Numbers, while preparing major updates for Logic Pro, Final Cut Pro, and Pixelmator Pro. The iWork suite opens up to third-party agents via the Model Context Protocol, and the rollout has begun in beta on devices compatible with Apple Intelligence running iOS, iPadOS, and macOS 27.
Logic Pro, Final Cut Pro, and Pixelmator Pro gain new AI features
Final Cut Pro benefits from new templates, graphics, titles, and transitions offered by MotionVFX. Apple also adds the Content Hub directly within Final Cut Pro, providing a catalog of royalty-free videos, photos, and backgrounds. Users already subscribed to the Creator’s Studio will enjoy the updates for free starting in November.
Logic Pro on Mac and iPad features a brand-new interface called Liquid Glass, as well as an AI assistant capable of creating a vocal track from a simple prompt and modifying existing projects. On Mac, a redesigned browser leverages embedded AI to analyze, organize, and automatically tag newly added sounds.
Pixelmator Pro introduces Generate Fill, an option that allows users to modify a part of an image based on a textual description. Apple specifies that Generate Fill automatically adjusts lighting, perspective, and texture of the environment to ensure the modifications blend seamlessly. This feature relies on AI to apply the requested changes.

In iWork, the AI assistant writes, formats, and orchestrates presentations
Apple integrates an AI assistant into Keynote, Pages, and Numbers. In Keynote, the assistant understands the context of a document to design, animate, and refine slides. In Pages, it can write, restructure, and adjust written content. In Numbers, it calculates, visualizes, and organizes data, suggests types of charts, and builds custom tables.
Opening to third-party agents and availability on iOS, iPadOS, and macOS 27
Apple now allows the integration of third-party AI agents into its productivity suite. Keynote, Pages, and Numbers are compatible with the Model Context Protocol on macOS 27 or later. The AI assistant, based on models designed by Apple and OpenAI, is currently being rolled out in beta on devices supporting Apple Intelligence running iOS 27, iPadOS 27, or macOS 27 or later.
