Andreessen Horowitz was the lead investor, with Sequoia Capital participating, resulting in a valuation of $7.5 billion for the San Francisco-based company. Arena, specializing in AI model evaluation, announced a $200 million Series B led by Lightspeed Venture Partners and Khosla Ventures, with a valuation of $3.1 billion; the company claims to have surpassed $100 million in annual revenue. On the protection and circulation of human contributions, SignSplit emerged with $400 million in seed funding backed by W Group, valuing the New York-based company at $1 billion; the company was founded in 2024.
Advanced Computing and Industry: From Quantum to Microfactories
Oratomic, headquartered in Pasadena and specializing in the development of fault-tolerant quantum computers, secured $475 million in funding from Arch Venture Partners, Spark Capital, Khosla Ventures, Index Ventures, General Catalyst, and Bezos Expeditions; the company had already raised $300 million in July. Ledgebrook, an AI-powered insurance platform based in Boston, raised $200 million in equity, a round co-led by Allianz X and Rockefeller Capital Management; its total funding amounts to approximately $315 million, according to Crunchbase. More broadly, the major rounds cover multiple niches, from infrastructure to applications, and are dominated this week by AI and energy.
