Memvid Offers an Unconventional Job
The startup Memvid has recently launched a rather original job offer: it is offering $800 for a day's work as a "professional artificial intelligence harasser." The goal? To test the memory of chatbots by pushing them to their limits and documenting their forgetfulness.
A Role Without Academic Prerequisites
The position does not require a degree in artificial intelligence. Candidates simply need to be over 18 years old, comfortable with technology, and able to repeat questions without losing their composure. Another condition is to agree to be filmed during the trial period, with the videos intended for promotional purposes.
Job Description
The mission consists of spending a full 8-hour day interacting with chatbots. Candidates will need to be honest about the frustrations encountered, ask the chatbots to remember certain information, observe their forgetfulness, and document the resulting chaos.
Memvid's Motivations
Memvid launched this initiative to tackle what it sees as the Achilles' heel of AI models: their memory. In 2024, while creating a recruitment agent for the medical sector, the co-founders observed that the AI lost context, which can have serious consequences in sensitive fields like healthcare.
Although only one position is currently available, Memvid plans to offer other similar missions in the future.
