OpenAI introduces GPT-6 and generalizes a response in the form of an interactive interface, moving away from plain text. The update is initially available to subscribers, featuring two versions of the model and a promise of reduced latency.
Immediate Availability for Subscribers, Sol and Luna Versions
The rollout of GPT-6 begins today on an international scale for Plus, Pro, Business, and Enterprise subscribers. Users of the free version and those on the Go plan will have access a day later. Paying customers will receive GPT-6 Sol, while the free version is called GPT-6 Luna.
Responses Become an Interface with Graphics and Mini-Tools
The new Intelligent UI feature transforms ChatGPT's responses into interactive interfaces, incorporating graphics, buttons, charts, and forms instead of plain text. The format automatically adjusts to the question asked, allowing, for example, side-by-side comparisons or converting explanations into interactive graphics. Users can also integrate small tools into the conversation, such as a savings calculator or a game.
Responses in Progress and 44% Reduced Latency According to OpenAI
GPT-6 can provide answers while continuing to think. According to OpenAI, this feature reduces wait times by 44% and improves the quality of responses. In internal testing, GPT-6 outperformed GPT-5.6 in complex web searches thanks to this approach. In May, Google launched a similar feature for Gemini, called Neural Expressive.
