OpenAI adds an interface to ChatGPT capable of blending text and interactive elements. The global rollout begins today for Plus, Pro, Business, and Enterprise users, with Go and free tiers set to launch on Thursday. Two variants, GPT-6 Sol and GPT-6 Luna, are introduced, and the company claims improved web searches, faster partial responses, and enhanced security robustness.

GPT-6 with the intelligent interface is being rolled out globally starting today for ChatGPT Plus, Pro, Business, and Enterprise users. The extension to Go and free tiers is scheduled for Thursday. Subscribers to the higher tiers will have access to the intermediate model GPT-6 Sol, while Go and free users will be able to use GPT-6 Luna, described as more efficient. OpenAI is introducing these two variants, Sol and Luna, directly into ChatGPT.
Responses blend text, visuals, and integrated tools
The new intelligent interface allows ChatGPT to produce responses that combine text, diagrams, graphs, forms, and interactive buttons. OpenAI states that it has trained GPT-6 to determine when to generate interactive visuals instead of text and to incorporate them into its responses. Among the cited examples, ChatGPT can generate a diagram representing a seven-speed bike, accompanied by interactive buttons to highlight different parts, or present an explanation of Mahjong through illustrations of each tile organized in scrolling categories. ChatGPT can also be requested to generate web applications such as a retirement savings simulator, a retro game, or a bill-splitting tool, which are created directly within the response.

According to OpenAI, GPT-6 provides ChatGPT with the ability to perform more effective web searches and deliver partial responses more quickly during the information-gathering phase. The company also indicates that GPT-6 has proven to be more resilient against attempts to undermine its training in terms of security. These updates come after the announcement of the first GPT-6 models last month.
