Claude Code acquires parallel agents and a targeted beta

Anthropic has revamped Projects in Claude Code around parallel threads, each operated in a cloud session, with thread tracking and integrated development actions. The beta is only accessible to select Pro and Max subscribers in the cloud, with a waiting list, team access coming soon, and local execution announced. The autopilot mode is now the default setting, with Anthropic claiming it has surpassed human developers on security tasks.
Limited Beta, Roadmap, and Widespread Autopilot
The new version of Projects in Claude Code is available in beta to select Pro and Max subscribers using cloud sessions. A waiting list allows users to request access. Rethought Projects: Defined Goals and Parallel Work Distribution
Anthropic has rebuilt the Projects feature in Claude Code. Now, the user describes a goal, and a coordinator distributes the work among several parallel threads. Each thread operates as an independent cloud session, can open pull requests, and execute tests.
Thread Tracking, Mobile Included, and Shared Memory
Users can track the progress of tasks in the main chat or by thread, including on mobile. Claude gradually builds a shared memory between threads, and a library centralizes all uploaded files and results.
