Claude Enterprise: Shared Reports, Surveys, and Budgets

Anthropic deploys three new features in Claude Enterprise: detailed usage reports, integrated surveys, and pooled budgets by group. The publisher regulates access to data and imposes activation settings, while asserting that the tool is not intended to evaluate individual performance.
Activation, Exclusions, and Controlled Identification
The new features are now available for Claude Enterprise customers. Their activation requires an account owner to enable the smart reports in the organization’s settings. These reports remain unavailable for deployments using client-managed encryption keys, HIPAA configurations, or hybrid modes. By default, employee names are masked, and only aggregated data appears for personal or off-topic sessions, with each name disclosure being logged. If the corresponding option is activated, the person viewing the report can, however, reveal the author of each work session. The tool reads a sample of conversations and displays, among other things, the number of personal or off-topic sessions, the number of employees involved, and the total associated cost. Anthropic claims that these reports are not intended to evaluate individual performance or guide employment decisions.
Pooled Budgets and Consumption Alerts
Pooled budgets allocate a shared monthly envelope to each group. Heavy users can draw from the unspent portion of their colleagues, while individual limits remain as safeguards against unusual usage. Each request is deducted from both the personal envelope and the team envelope, and access is interrupted as soon as one of them is exhausted. A blocked member can request an extension from Claude, subject to administrator approval. Administrators with billing rights receive email alerts when 50%, 75%, 95%, and then 100% of the budget is reached. They can also raise a spending limit directly from a report.

Measuring Team Usage and Qualifying Costs
The smart reports analyze a team's activity over a chosen period, up to 28 days, and across selected products including chat, Claude Code, and Claude Cowork. Claude reads a sample of conversations, groups work into major projects, and assigns a cost to each. Dashboards categorize sessions by deliverable type with an average cost, list frequent friction points, provide recommendations such as creating shared skills or adding rules in a code repository, and account for inefficiencies, including sessions without exploitable results and those that are personal or off-topic. Administrators can pose their own questions about usage and costs and save them as templates. Account owners can open these reports to team leaders without granting them admin status.
Employees Respond to Surveys Directly in the Tool
Integrated surveys appear as a card after a response, directly within the tool used by the employee. By default, the questions focus on the value produced, asking for the most useful recent task, the effect on completion time, a best practice to replicate, and what would break or slow things down first without Claude. The administrator sets the questions, recipients, and schedule. Responses come in real-time, can be exported to a spreadsheet, and, according to Anthropic, are only accessible by the publisher to ensure the service's functionality.
