Six Demos Built Without a Single External Asset

Matt Shumer published a Call of Duty-style shooter where everything on screen, down to the textures, is generated by code. "Not a single external asset was used," he wrote on X. The prompt and source code are available on GitHub under the name Claude-of-Duty.

Alex Ermolov showcased a snowboarding demo and stated that Opus 5 is comparable to Fable and superior to all other models he has tested. His first attempt returned without visual glitches, and he claims that the "sliding physics are correct."

The Roman siege weapon is positioned in front of a castle, features a complete control panel, and resembles a finished game rather than a prototype. Opus 5 demos work differently: the geometry is procedural, built by code that calculates points and surfaces in real-time. Textures exist as shaders, meaning more code. The model writes the physics and controls along with everything else, and since everything runs in the browser on Three.js, a single HTML file is sufficient.

Anthropic states in its announcement of Opus 5 that the model produces "much stronger visual outputs" than previous versions. A cited testing partner describes the results as the best animations, games, and 3D works he has seen from any Opus model.

Minecraft Clones Become the Community's Preferred Stress Test

Beyond unique demos, the community has adopted an informal test: rebuilding Minecraft from a single prompt. Pankaj Kumar's version of Opus 5 features an infinite procedural world, 15 biomes, and survival and creative modes. Every graphical asset comes from the code, he writes, with textures and sounds generated in real-time. The build consumed 25 million tokens.

Other comparative tests follow the same pattern. Harshith asked Opus 5, Fable 5, GPT-5.6 Sol, and several other models to generate a 3D Airbus H145 in Three.js and aligned the results. atomic.chat went further by asking all four models to build three physical scenes, including a tornado crossing a field and a wrecking ball swinging into a building. According to atomic.chat, only Opus 5 convincingly managed all three.

Prompts like these serve as a rough initial assessment, as anyone can recreate them and judge the results on screen. Programming skills are not required, although they can help with the prompt. However, this is not a benchmark in a methodical sense. There are no standardized tasks, no scoring scale, and no control over the number of attempts each model gets.
