Building and Encoding: A Hands-On Approach

The author undertook the task of building a DESIGN.md file from scratch for a real product, which allowed for a better understanding of the essential elements to include. Additionally, a skill was developed for Claude to encode the entire process, demonstrating the importance of seamless integration between the file and the AI tool. Despite these efforts, it became clear that most DESIGN.md files lack the most crucial element: a clear and coherent narrative of the product.
