datasette-llm 0.1a9 Adopts Default LLM Model
The datasette-llm plugin has been updated to version 0.1a9 and now relies on the default LLM model. Users can launch Datasette Agent without explicitly configuring a model. More significant improvements for Datasette Agent are also in the works.
Simplified Startup for Datasette Agent
It is no longer necessary to specify a default model to use Datasette Agent. Now, launching can be done with the command uvx --with datasette-agent datasette content.db --internal internal.db, without any additional settings. Previously, it was required to add the option -s plugins.datasette-agent.default_model followed by a model name, such as [gpt](/glossaire/gpt)-6-astra.

Version 0.1a9 of the datasette-llm plugin enhances the user experience by automatically using the default LLM model. This change reduces the configuration needed to get started. Additionally, more significant improvements are announced as being in preparation for Datasette Agent.
