David Vélez's Journey

David Vélez, a Colombian entrepreneur, founded Nubank in 2013 after recognizing the challenges of traditional banking in Brazil. Under his leadership, Nubank has become one of the largest digital financial services platforms in the world, with over 135 million customers. The company, which has simplified and made access to financial services more transparent, is now expanding into the United States after receiving conditional approval to establish a national bank.

Before Nubank, David was a partner at Sequoia Capital, focusing on Latin America, and worked in investment banking at Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, and General Atlantic. Together with his wife, Mariel Reyes, he also leads VélezReyes+, a philanthropic platform focused on democratic governance and education in Latin America.

Robin Vince's Trajectory

Robin Vince is at the helm of BNY, a financial services company with over 240 years of history. Since becoming CEO in 2022, he has led a major reinvention of the company, simplifying its operational model and accelerating investments in AI and data. He has also strengthened BNY's culture of innovation and execution.

Prior to BNY, Robin spent 26 years at Goldman Sachs, where he held various leadership positions, including head of risk, treasurer, and COO for the EMEA region. He is involved in several boards and organizations, including the Hospital for Special Surgery and the Perelman Performing Arts Center. He is also a member of several international economic and financial boards.
