Unframe Raises $50 Million for AI
Unframe, an innovative startup in the field of artificial intelligence, has recently raised $50 million in a Series B funding round. This new investment brings the total amount of funds raised by the company to $100 million. In less than a year, Unframe has also surpassed $100 million in total contract value, a feat that reflects the growing interest in its solutions.
AI Solutions Tailored for Businesses
Founded just two years ago, Unframe focuses on developing custom AI systems for its clients. These clients come from various sectors, including financial services, healthcare, and retail. Larissa Schneider, the company's COO, emphasized that identifying the right AI use case remains a major challenge for businesses looking to move from experimentation to large-scale adoption. To address this need, Unframe has built a library of AI tools that seamlessly integrate with companies' internal systems and data.
Diverse Applications and a Strong Business Model
Unframe's solutions are already being used by commercial real estate firms to analyze lease documents, by retailers to plan promotions, and by airlines to optimize crew schedules. Clients can test Unframe's AI solutions for free before subscribing to an annual plan once they are deployed. This model has allowed Unframe to achieve a net revenue retention rate of 400%, meaning that existing customers' spending increases over time.
Funding Backed by Renowned Investors
The recent Series B funding round was led by Highland Europe, with participation from existing investors such as Bessemer, Craft, TLV, Third Point, Cerca, and Vintage. Notable clients of Unframe include commercial real estate companies like Cushman & Wakefield and Avison Young, as well as cybersecurity firm Armis and Swiss publisher NZZ.
Expansion and Team Strengthening
With around 150 employees, Unframe plans to use the raised funds to expand its product, customer support, and sales teams, as well as to enter new markets. The company is based in Cupertino, with offices in Tel Aviv and Berlin. Unframe positions itself against pre-built AI services, consulting firms like Accenture, and companies that choose to develop their own AI systems in-house.
Experienced Founders
Unframe's co-founders include Larissa Schneider, CEO Shay Levi, and VP of Research and Development Adi Azarya. All three are veterans of the cybersecurity company Noname, which was acquired by Akamai in 2024 for approximately $450 million. An overview of the pitch deck that Unframe used to raise its $50 million has been shared, although some slides have been redacted for confidentiality reasons.
