Gamma, a platform specializing in the use of artificial intelligence for creating presentations and websites, has just launched Gamma Imagine, a new image generation tool. This product is designed to help users create marketing assets, directly competing with giants like Canva and Adobe.
A Powerful Tool for Brands
Gamma Imagine allows users to generate brand-specific assets from text prompts. Among the possible creations are interactive graphics, visualizations, marketing materials, social media graphics, and infographics. To facilitate this process, Gamma offers over 100 templates that users can combine with its AI tools.
Integrations and Advanced Features
To enhance its features, Gamma Imagine integrates with several tools, including ChatGPT, Claude, Make, Zapier, Atlassian, n8n, and Superhuman Go. According to Grant Lee, CEO and co-founder of Gamma, this approach addresses the various graphic design needs identified among their early users. Lee told TechCrunch that Gamma has worked with these users to develop a new set of tools that goes beyond the traditional presentation format.
A Strategic Position in the Market
Grant Lee positions Gamma between professional tools like Adobe or Figma, and more traditional solutions such as Microsoft PowerPoint. The goal is to serve the long tail of knowledge workers and business professionals who need to communicate visually but lack the necessary tools. Gamma aims to fill a niche that it considers underserved.
Growth and Funding
Last November, Gamma raised $68 million in a Series B funding round led by a16z, reaching a valuation of $2.1 billion. At that time, Gamma reported an annual recurring revenue (ARR) of $100 million and had 70 million users. The company recently announced that it is now approaching 100 million users.
