Google Search Live Expands Internationally
Google has officially expanded its Search Live feature globally, making this technology accessible to users in over 200 countries. This advancement allows users to interact with Google Search in an innovative way, using both their voice and their phone's camera.
Users can now ask questions aloud and receive spoken answers, accompanied by links to relevant web pages. By activating their phone's camera, they have the option to point it at objects to obtain detailed information about them. Google illustrates this feature with the example of a shelf, demonstrating how the technology can be used to identify and learn more about various items.
An Advanced AI Model for Natural Interactions
The Search Live feature relies on the Gemini 3.1 Flash Live model, a multilingual audio and voice model. According to Google, this model is designed to enable more natural and fluid conversations between the user and the application. This technology is an integral part of the AI mode of the Google app, available on both Android and iOS platforms.
Additionally, Search Live is also accessible via Google Lens, further enhancing Google's AI tool ecosystem and providing users with a richer and more interactive search experience.
