Google recently introduced Lyria 3 Pro, its most advanced artificial intelligence model for music creation. Capable of generating tracks up to three minutes long, Lyria 3 Pro stands out for its enhanced understanding of musical structures, such as intros, verses, choruses, and bridges.
Lyria 3 Pro is now integrated into several Google products. Paying subscribers can access it through the Gemini app, while Workspace customers can find it in Google Vids. Businesses can utilize it on Vertex AI, and developers have access to this tool via Google AI Studio. Additionally, the model is used by ProducerAI, a collaborative music generation tool, to facilitate song creation.
Google clarifies that Lyria 3 Pro does not replicate artists when their names are mentioned in a prompt but uses them as a source of inspiration. The model has been trained on materials that Google and YouTube have the right to use, in accordance with their terms of service, partnership agreements, and applicable laws. However, Google has not disclosed further details about the training data. All content generated by Lyria 3 Pro is marked with an invisible SynthID watermark, ensuring traceability.
On the market, the only other high-quality AI music generator is Suno, which is currently involved in litigation with record labels over allegations of copyright infringement.
