Elon Musk's Grokipedia: The AI Encyclopedia Stalled Since April
Grokipedia, Elon Musk's AI-generated online encyclopedia, has apparently not been updated since April 24, according to a report from Lawfare. The report states that "no articles have changed in over three months."
Launched in version 0.1 in October 2025 with an initial batch of 885,000 articles, Grokipedia is now in version 0.2 (released in November 2025) and boasts over 6,000,000 articles, according to grokipedia.com/live. However, this live page also displays a section titled "Recent changes to..." with a message stating "No live updates available at this time."
It is still possible to propose articles for Grokipedia to cover and suggest modifications for individual pages. However, Lawfare examined both popular and lesser-known pages on Grokipedia and found that they had not been updated. "In our subsequent analysis of 34,519 pages with at least one suggested modification in our sample, containing a total of 225,496 recommended changes, we found no accepted or rejected corrections dated within the last three months," Lawfare reported.
xAI did not immediately respond to a request for comment. Users on Reddit and X have wondered if Grokipedia is "dead." Lawfare also noted that Musk's last post on X mentioning Grokipedia dates back to February.
