After several months without any updates, Grokipedia, the AI-driven encyclopedia platform from SpaceXAI associated with Elon Musk, has received an interface-focused upgrade to version v0.3. This refresh comes after signals of a prolonged pause noted in August, while the company has not immediately commented.
After months of stagnation, a quiet resumption of updates
In August, Lawfare reported that no entries on Grokipedia had changed for over three months. Earlier this year, the platform appeared to have stopped updating. Recently, Grokipedia has begun to integrate changes again after several months of inactivity. These recent developments suggest a renewed interest in Grokipedia within SpaceXAI. SpaceXAI has not immediately responded to a request for comment.
v0.3 revamps the interface: homepage, live tracking, and article pages
Version v0.3 introduces visual changes, including a new logo as well as updates to the homepage and the live changes page. The new homepage now features a selection of highlighted articles, a ranking of the most viewed articles, and a display of the latest modifications. The page dedicated to live tracking of changes allows users to see multiple recent changes simultaneously. Article pages have adopted a redesigned layout for key fact tables placed at the top, accompanied by reduced line spacing for the text. The selection of featured articles showcases digitally manipulable rotating book models, while the section for the most read articles is based on a horizontally scrolling shelf displaying book slices.
Launch, positioning, and unchanged content scope
Grokipedia is an AI-powered platform operated by SpaceXAI and associated with Elon Musk. It was launched in version v0.1 at the end of October 2025 with AI-cloned pages from Wikipedia, followed by an update to v0.2 a month later. The previous version of the homepage was essentially limited to a logo and a search area. Benji Taylor, who leads design at SpaceXAI, describes the platform as "newly refreshed." Despite these interface changes, the content of the articles appears largely unchanged.
