H Company Partners with Nvidia to Revolutionize Open Source AI
H Company, a French startup specializing in agent-based artificial intelligence, has recently joined Nvidia's Nemotron coalition. This announcement was made during the GTC conference in Taipei, highlighting the company's integration into a network of global industry leaders.
Launched by Nvidia last March, the Nemotron initiative aims to pool expertise, computing power, and data sources to accelerate the development of next-generation foundation models in open-source. The coalition consists of influential members from the software and AI sectors, such as Black Forest Labs, Cursor, LangChain, Mistral AI, Perplexity, Reflection AI, Sarvam, and Thinking Machines Lab. H Company's entry, with its hundred employees, will allow it to access valuable computing resources shared within this coalition.
Gautier Cloix, the CEO of H Company, emphasized the importance of this international collaboration: "It is essential for French companies to actively participate in international ecosystems where the future of artificial intelligence is being built. This collaboration with other coalition members will enable us to accelerate our work on open models and contribute to a more innovative, efficient, and accessible AI ecosystem."
"Computer-use": Agents Operating on Interfaces
Founded in Paris in 2023, H Company specializes in "computer-use" AI, a field it describes as a new generation of artificial intelligences capable of executing complex tasks and autonomously interacting with digital environments. This means that the AI can not only produce text but also perform tasks directly on web browsers and applications, whether desktop or mobile.
The company recently launched Holo3.1, the latest version of its flagship model, introduced to the market last March, along with a public-facing extension for Google Chrome called Holotab. This model, specialized for "computer-use" AI, stands out for its high performance in benchmarks while maintaining lower costs than generalist models.
$220 Million Raised in 2024
Since its founding in 2023, H Company has raised $220 million the following year. However, it has experienced significant changes in its leadership team, with three of its five founders departing, followed by the announcement of Charles Kantor, its CEO, leaving in June 2025 during Vivatech.
Gautier Cloix, former CEO of Palantir France, has taken the helm of the company. Among H Company's investors are heavyweights such as Accel, Eric Schmidt, Amazon, LVMH, Xavier Niel, Samsung, and UiPath.
