Hugging Face: Open Source AI Attracts Fortune 500 Giants
Open source AI is on the rise, according to Clem Delangue, CEO of Hugging Face. The company has evolved into a platform akin to GitHub for AI in recent years, where AI developers can share and download open models and datasets, now used by about half of the Fortune 500 companies. Delangue has observed a recurring trend: companies start with cutting-edge APIs, but as they grow, costs push them toward open source models.
