Welcome to the Jungle bets on AI to transform recruitment
Welcome to the Jungle, under the leadership of its founder Jérémy Clédat, has undertaken a major overhaul of its recruitment platform. After spending a year rethinking the platform, the company has integrated a Hiring Suite based on conversational AI, aiming to revolutionize the recruitment process. This transformation, set to roll out starting this spring, seeks to simplify job searching for candidates and optimize recruiters' time.
A new approach for candidates and recruiters
For candidates, the platform now offers the ability to express their expectations in natural language. In response, the AI suggests the most suitable positions, thereby eliminating the need for traditional filters. This innovation is accompanied by a surge in the volume of applications and a redefinition of job roles every six months. On the recruiters' side, three areas have been rethought:
- Employer branding: improvement of the ergonomics of company profiles and adaptable content.
- ATS (Applicant Tracking System): an innovative tool that significantly reduces the time needed to create job postings thanks to AI.
- Sourcing: contextual AI search, with access to a vast database of 2 million member profiles and an additional 20 million through partners.
The acceleration of change
Jérémy Clédat emphasizes that the central element of this transformation is the continuous acceleration of the pace of change. While the fundamentals of recruitment remain unchanged, the speed of adaptation required from companies is a major challenge. Last year, Welcome to the Jungle intensified its efforts to integrate AI, thereby redefining performance standards in the sector.
An explosion of AI-related jobs
The job market is witnessing an explosion of listings mentioning AI, with a 40-fold increase in "data AI" roles. Traditional roles, such as that of software engineer, are also evolving to meet new demands. Clédat clarifies that AI does not eliminate these jobs but transforms them, with companies actively recruiting for AI-related projects.
The question of job quality
Jérémy Clédat highlights an often-overlooked issue: the quality of jobs created compared to those destroyed. He warns against the proliferation of low-quality jobs, such as content moderation roles, and cautions that rapid automation could lead to companies managed by AIs, inaccessible to human consumers.
