Joe AI announces a first institutional round of 2 million euros to develop its AI agents and prepare for expansion into Spain, Portugal, and Italy. The startup, which claims over 500 clients in France, aims for up to 95% of requests to be processed automatically. The funds will also support product development, distribution, and new hiring.
A coveted market, with no European giant according to Joe AI
Stanislas Chertok believes that no player of the size of American leaders is present in Europe and that there is an opportunity to become a European leader. In the United States, the company EliseAI, specializing in property management, recently reached a valuation of 4 billion dollars. He notes that the real estate sector experiences a very high volume of requests, citing a client property management company that claims to receive more calls than emergency services, with often repetitive requests ranging from rent receipts to water damage. He also specifies that Joe AI's product is designed to be scalable and multilingual, and that real estate agencies in Southern Europe generally operate in a similar manner.
AI agents operational across five channels with a target of 95%
Joe AI's agents operate via phone, email, SMS, WhatsApp, or live chat with prospects, owners, tenants, and co-owners. Stanislas Chertok highlights the ability of these agents to perform concrete actions, unlike a chatbot that is limited to responding. The company aims to handle up to 95% of incoming requests across all channels. Joe AI claims over 500 clients in France and indicates it manages several hundred thousand communications each month. The agents are connected to the software used by agencies and property management companies.
2 M€ raised, led by Xplore, with 90% in equity
Joe AI has raised 2 million euros in its first institutional round, led by Xplore, the innovation capital branch of Épopée Gestion. Plug and Play Ventures, already a shareholder, is also participating in the operation, along with business angels including Marc Menasé and Benjamin Chemla. Stanislas Chertok indicates that about 90% of the funds raised consist of equity, with the remainder coming from public financing, mostly provided by Bpifrance. He mentions that he met the investors he would partner with at the RENT trade show in Paris a year ago. Joe AI was founded in 2024 by Stanislas Chertok, the first employee of Shares, and Victor Perez.
Joe AI invests in its offering and prepares for international arrival
The investment obtained will primarily be dedicated to product evolution, the development of the offering for commercial real estate, and strengthening distribution both in France and internationally. Joe AI plans to launch its European growth in Spain, Portugal, and Italy, relying on partnerships with software publishers and customer networks already present on-site. Currently composed of 10 people, the team plans to hire several account executives, a product manager, and two developers.
