Meta claims that, unlike other applications that offer similar options but where exchanges remain accessible, its incognito discussions are truly private. "Incognito discussions with Meta AI are genuinely private: no one else but you can read your conversation, not even Meta," the company assures. This means that users will not have to worry about their sensitive information, whether personal or financial, being read by employees or third parties. Meta specifies that it does not have access to the private environment in which prompts will be processed. This unique feature will be rolled out on WhatsApp as well as on the Meta AI application in the coming months.

Ongoing Improvements to Meta's AI Performance

In parallel with this announcement, Meta continues to work on enhancing the performance of its artificial intelligence. Although Meta's AI is not yet on par with its main competitors like OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google, notable progress is underway. In addition to the incognito chat on WhatsApp, Meta plans to introduce a feature that allows Meta AI to assist users in their conversations with others while maintaining privacy. "In the coming months, we will also launch secondary discussions protected by private processing. Secondary discussions with Meta AI will provide you with private assistance based on the context of the conversation, without interfering with the main discussion," the group explains.
