Apple Intelligence: A Long-Awaited Advancement Since 2024
In June 2024, during its annual WWDC conference, Apple unveiled Apple Intelligence, a major update integrating artificial intelligence into its products. However, nearly two years later, ChatGPT remains the only chatbot integrated with Siri. According to a recent article by Mark Gurman published on Bloomberg, this situation may soon change. Indeed, Apple plans to present this new feature at the upcoming WWDC conference in June.

On June 8, during the opening keynote of the WWDC conference, Apple is expected to unveil iOS 27. This new version of the operating system will include a feature allowing AI chatbots available on the App Store to integrate with Siri's interface, similar to ChatGPT. This would pave the way for the use of products like Gemini from Google, Claude, or Perplexity via Siri, provided that developers adopt this new feature.
A Smarter Siri in the Works
Meanwhile, Apple continues to work on an improved version of Siri, making it smarter and capable of performing more tasks. To achieve this, Apple is collaborating with Google, gaining access to Gemini's AI models and the infrastructure of the Mountain View firm. This new version of Siri is expected to be released this year, promising to further enhance the capabilities of Apple's voice assistant.
