Anthropic is experiencing spectacular revenue growth, reaching over $30 billion in annualized revenue this month, according to The Information. This performance represents a threefold increase compared to the end of the previous year, potentially placing Anthropic ahead of OpenAI. This advancement is largely attributed to the successes of Claude Code and Cowork, which have seen a notable increase in token sales due to their reasoning models.
Improved Margins and Funding Prospects
Anthropic's gross margins have seen impressive improvement, rising from -94% in 2024 to +40% in 2025. Meanwhile, annualized revenues have surged from less than $1 billion to $9 billion. This financial momentum has allowed Anthropic to negotiate favorable terms during its funding round in September 2025, with commitments expected to reach several hundred million dollars from investors.
Future Valuation and Investor Expectations
Despite this growth, no new funding round is currently planned. If such an event were to occur, it would not be considered before a board meeting in May, according to The Information. Chief Financial Officer Krishna Rao and his team have already received offers valuing the company at $800 billion. Some investors even believe that a valuation of one trillion dollars could be achieved, highlighting the optimism surrounding Anthropic's future.
