Granola, the New AI Unicorn in London

London-based startup Granola, specializing in AI-assisted note-taking, has recently achieved a significant milestone by reaching unicorn status. In a Series C funding round, the company raised $125 million, led by Index Ventures. This funding round now values Granola at $1.5 billion.

Founded in 2023, Granola has quickly established itself in the market with its innovative platform that transcribes meetings and generates comprehensive, searchable summaries. Notable clients include companies such as Cursor and Gousto.

New Features and Partnerships

Alongside this funding round, Granola announced the launch of new features, according to Bloomberg. These include integrations with AI coding tools, notably Claude Code developed by Anthropic PBC, as well as the creation of team workspace features that allow employees to collaboratively organize their notes.

Investments and Rapid Growth

In addition to Index Ventures, other prominent investors such as Kleiner Perkins, Lightspeed Venture Partners, and Spark Capital also participated in this funding round. Previously, in May 2025, Granola raised $43 million in a Series B round led by Nat Friedman and Daniel Gross of NFDG, with a valuation of $250 million at that time.

Granola has also expressed its ambition to grow its team from 19 to around 80 people in the coming year, according to a statement made to Sifted. Last year, the startup was recognized as one of the fastest-growing teams in Europe.
