The Asia-Pacific region, while being a pillar of global economic growth, faces significant environmental challenges due to climate change. A recent report highlights that green technologies, although progressing, are not developing quickly enough to counter these growing threats.
In response to this urgency, Google has launched its inaugural DeepMind Accelerator program in the Asia-Pacific, under the theme "AI for the Planet." This innovative three-month program is aimed at startups, research teams, and non-profit organizations in the region. The goal is to leverage cutting-edge artificial intelligence to address issues related to nature, climate, agriculture, and energy.
Selected participants will benefit from expert mentorship, personalized support, and assistance in integrating advanced AI and scientific models provided by Google AI experts into their initiatives.
The program will kick off with an in-person bootcamp in Singapore, offering a unique opportunity to learn and collaborate. Interested organizations can now express their interest in participating in this ambitious program aimed at catalyzing the development of innovative climate solutions.
