The Biden administration recently released a national plan regarding artificial intelligence (AI), which includes legislative recommendations for Congress. This strategic document addresses seven key areas, each with significant implications for the regulation and use of AI in the United States.

One of the highlights of the plan concerns the protection of children. The government proposes that Congress grant parents increased control over AI platforms, notably through age verification. This measure aims to protect young users from inappropriate or potentially harmful content.

In terms of infrastructure, the plan suggests that electricity consumers should not bear the costs associated with building new AI data centers. Additionally, it recommends expediting approval processes for these infrastructures to support the rapid development of the sector.

Copyright and AI Regulation

The plan also tackles the complex issue of copyright.
