Samsung Unveils Its New TV Range for 2026
Samsung has recently unveiled four new television models that are set to make a mark in 2026. The QLED QN80H and QN70H models, along with the Mini LED M80H and M70H, are designed to appeal to sports enthusiasts, particularly with an innovative football mode. This mode, powered by artificial intelligence, is introduced just in time for the upcoming World Cup. Prices for these new televisions start at $350, making these technologies accessible to a wide audience.
Enhanced Colors and Contrasts with QLED and Mini LED
The new QLED series, which includes the QN80H and QN70H models, incorporates Quantum Dot technology combined with Mini LED, promising more vibrant colors and an impressive range of sizes from 43 to 100 inches. Meanwhile, the M80H and M70H models, which succeed the U8000 model from 2025, utilize Mini LED backlighting. These televisions are designed to deliver bright and accurate colors, paired with cinema-quality contrast. Samsung also announced the arrival of a 100-inch M90H model later this year, further expanding options for consumers.
An AI Football Mode for Total Immersion
The football mode, powered by artificial intelligence, is a standout feature of these new televisions. It can automatically recognize the game on screen and adjust settings to provide an immersive experience, as if you were in a stadium. This mode is available on all models except the M70H, which offers a more standard football mode. During a demonstration, the AI mode showcased its ability to make the ball's movement clearer and enhance the greenery of the field, although some noted that the ball seemed to move too quickly to fully assess the fluidity improvements.
Advanced Features for an Enriched Experience
In addition to the football mode, the new televisions, except for the M70H, are equipped with the Samsung Vision AI Companion with Bixby. This intelligent companion allows users to activate features like the AI Sound Controller, which highlights different parts of the audio track, whether it's dialogue or background noise. The QN80H, QN70H, and M80H models also feature Motion Xcelerator 144Hz technology, optimizing support for PC gaming. The M80H goes even further with DLG 240Hz, offering faster response times and smoother motion.
An Enhanced Streaming Platform and Guaranteed Updates
The televisions in this new range operate on Tizen OS, offering a multitude of streaming features, including game streaming and the FAST TV Plus service. Samsung has also expanded the number of languages available for the Live Translate feature, accessible while watching programs via Samsung TV Plus or OTA. Additionally, the company is committed to providing up to seven years of updates for Tizen OS, ensuring longevity and technological relevance for its users.
