LG and NVIDIA Join Forces for an Innovative AI Factory
The South Korean giant LG Group has decided to strengthen its partnership with NVIDIA to establish an AI Factory infrastructure. This ambitious project aims to accelerate LG's initiatives in key areas such as robotics, autonomous mobility, as well as data centers and cloud GPU. By combining its vast industrial data with NVIDIA's advanced computing and simulation technologies, LG hopes to transform its operations.
In response to the rapid increase in global demand for artificial intelligence infrastructure, LG Group announced its collaboration with NVIDIA to develop an AI Factory capable of supporting the training, simulation, and deployment of AI applications at scale. This project is not limited to modernizing factories but also extends to robotics, autonomous driving, GPU cloud services, and next-generation data centers. LG aims to enhance its competitiveness across several strategic sectors while preparing for the emergence of more automated and data-driven industrial operations.
Why is LG Betting on a Large-Scale AI Factory?
The project between LG Group and NVIDIA is based on the creation of an accelerated computing infrastructure designed to support the entire lifecycle of AI applications. This includes model training, synthetic data generation, simulation, validation, edge deployment, and the utilization of digital twins. All these steps will be integrated into a single environment.
The goal is to connect in real-time all industrial operations of the group, from raw material procurement to final delivery. LG and NVIDIA aspire to build an autonomous manufacturing ecosystem where operational decisions can be optimized through data and AI.
This approach relies on data collected from LG's global production sites, which will be combined with NVIDIA's simulation and digital twin technologies. This data is expected to improve industrial planning, logistics flow management, and operational efficiency.

NVIDIA Supports LG in Several Key Sectors
Robotics is one of the most visible areas of this collaboration. LG Electronics is already using NVIDIA Isaac Sim and Isaac Lab technologies to design and test its robots in virtual environments before deploying them in the real world.
LG also plans to integrate the NVIDIA Isaac GR00T model to enhance the reasoning and execution capabilities of its future home robots. This could accelerate the development of robotic platforms capable of performing complex tasks with greater autonomy.
To address the availability of training data, LG is also developing a dedicated platform for physical AI. It will utilize NVIDIA Cosmos models to generate and enrich synthetic data for robotics and industrial automation projects.
The automotive sector is also a priority. LG Electronics is collaborating with NVIDIA to align its advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) and embedded AI platforms, not to mention its future software-defined vehicle solutions with the NVIDIA DRIVE ecosystem. The goal is to strengthen the group's presence in the global smart mobility and autonomous driving market.
The partnership also extends to the realm of sovereign AI models. LG AI Research is continuing the development of EXAONE, one of the most advanced AI models in South Korea, with the support of NVIDIA Blackwell GPUs and several software technologies from the American company.
This agreement demonstrates that large industrial groups are now investing in comprehensive AI Factory infrastructures capable of producing, training, and deploying AI at scale. For LG, the alliance with NVIDIA could accelerate its digital transformation and modernize its operations, thereby strengthening its position in several important markets within the AI economy.
