LLM installations broke after OpenAI's abandonment of httpx
New LLM installations have recently stopped working. The cause is the abandonment of httpx by OpenAI's Python library. LLM depended on httpx but only installed it through a transitive dependency from OpenAI, which caused the break when this linkage disappeared.
Fix 0.32.1 and planned migration to httpx2 in 0.33
An update identified as LLM 0.32.1 temporarily resolves the issue by pinning the dependency to openai<3. A version 0.33, announced as coming soon, is set to replace httpx with httpx2.
