A Tool to Track LLM Clichés
A new tool, the LLM cliché highlighter, has been developed to detect and highlight common clichéd phrases in texts generated by language models. This tool allows users to identify patterns such as "no X, no Y," "sit with that," "you already know," and other expressions that frequently appear in LLM outputs.
Users can paste text into the analyzer to see these patterns highlighted. The tool also offers advanced features such as pattern counts and matching lists with quick navigation. It operates entirely in the browser, with localStorage support to ensure data persistence.
The idea for this tool stemmed from the frustration felt by its creator when reading articles filled with clichés generated by LLMs, such as "no fluff, no filler, no jargon." To address this, he asked Fable 5 to code this application capable of highlighting ten common patterns in this type of writing.
