Lovable Reaches a Valuation of $13.3 Billion
The company Lovable, specializing in software development, has recently seen its valuation double to reach $13.3 billion. This spectacular increase results from a funding round that raised $400 million, highlighting the growing interest of investors in AI-based coding technologies. Since its launch in November 2024, Lovable has seen over 60 million projects realized on its platform.
Based in Stockholm, Lovable successfully attracted $400 million in this funding round, more than doubling its valuation in just seven months. Menlo Ventures led this Series C, with notable participation from the Scaleup Europe fund, managed by EQT. This new investment reflects the increasing appetite of investors for innovative startups in the coding space.
Lovable's co-founder and CEO, Anton Osika, shared on LinkedIn that the company's annual recurring revenue has nearly tripled since December. According to him, Lovable has become a favored place for entrepreneurs looking to build successful businesses, for leaders seeking to launch new products, and for employees eager to reorganize their workflows with customized tools, often at a lower cost compared to traditional software.
Lovable's recent fundraising fits into a broader trend of investment in AI-based coding companies. For example, SpaceX recently struck a deal to acquire Cursor for $60 billion, and Emergent, an application-building platform, raised $130 million, reaching a valuation of $1.5 billion.
In December, Lovable had already raised $330 million, achieving a valuation of $6.6 billion at that time. In March, the company announced it had reached an annual recurring revenue of $400 million, up from $300 million the previous month and $200 million at the end of 2025.
In a recent blog post, Lovable revealed that over 60 million projects have been completed on its platform since its launch in November 2024. Anton Osika specified that the new funding will be used to transform Lovable into a platform not only for building but also for managing businesses.
"The world is full of ambitious people with deep knowledge of the problems to solve, but few have historically had the power to act," Osika wrote. "Our ambition is to give that power to people and help them achieve more than they thought possible."
With this new funding, Lovable positions itself among the most highly valued private AI companies in Europe. It sits just behind the French AI model maker Mistral, valued at around $14 billion, but ahead of its direct competitor in AI coding, Replit, which was valued at $9 billion in March.
However, despite these successes, a significant gap remains between European AI startups and American giants in the sector. For instance, Anthropic was recently valued at $1.2 trillion in secondary markets, while OpenAI reached a valuation of approximately $933 billion, according to reported data. These valuations reflect private share exchanges rather than fixed-price funding rounds.
