A Rich Event Full of Announcements at Google

During the annual Made by Google 2026 event, the tech giant unveiled several significant new products. Among them are the Pixel 11 series, the Pixel Watch 5, and a new tracking device, the Pixel Tag, which directly competes with Apple's AirTag. Additionally, Google showcased innovative features based on Gemini, its artificial intelligence technology, which will be integrated into its devices.

Gemini: AI for Accessibility

One of the major announcements of the event was the enhancement of Gemini, Google's AI. One of the most notable additions is the expansion of "Live Transcribe" to include American Sign Language. Thanks to the cameras on Pixel devices, users can now translate sign language into text, facilitating communication without a keyboard.

Google also introduced "Rambler," a new voice input feature. This is designed to better interpret natural language, allowing users to speak more spontaneously without having to formulate precise sentences. Rambler can handle less structured speech, understanding filler words and long phrases.

Among other new features, "Circle to Search" now allows direct access to search from the Pixel camera. This feature enables users to identify objects, translate text, or ask questions about their immediate environment without leaving the camera app.

The Pixel 11: Improved Design and Performance

The Pixel 11 stands out with a redesigned camera bar, which is 40% thinner than the previous model. This new bar uses a glass surface that extends across the entire width of the phone. In terms of storage, Google has doubled the base capacity to 256 GB, eliminating the 128 GB option. The starting price is set at $899, which is a $100 increase from the Pixel 10, partly due to RAM shortages.

Users can choose from several colors: Frost, Hibiscus, Pistachio, and Obsidian.

Pixel 11 Pro and Pro XL: Durability and Elegance

Google emphasized durability with the Pixel 11 Pro and Pixel 11 Pro XL models. These devices offer better drop resistance and a new screen coating that doubles scratch resistance compared to previous models. The Pixel 11 Pro starts at $1,099, which is $100 more than the Pixel 10 Pro.

Available colors include Canyon, Fog, Olive, and Obsidian, the latter featuring a completely matte finish.

Pixel 11 Pro Fold: Innovation and Lightness

Google's foldable model, the Pixel 11 Pro Fold, is nearly 10% lighter and 1 mm thinner than its predecessor. It is equipped with a 48-megapixel main camera and a 30x Super Zoom. The phone retains IP68 water and dust resistance and uses a composite glass-fiber back for better crack protection. A redesigned hinge improves the durability of the inner screen, making the device three times more resistant than the previous model.

Available in Olive and Obsidian, the Pixel 11 Pro Fold embodies innovation and robustness.

Pixel Tag: Google Enters the Tracking Device Race

With the Pixel Tag, Google offers a tracking device that competes with Apple's AirTag. This small device allows users to track items like keys or luggage via the Find Hub network on Android. Users can locate the tag using the Find Hub app, similar to Apple's Find My.

The Pixel Tag is priced at $29 for a single unit or $99 for a pack of four. It can also be located via a Pixel Watch, and Pixel Buds users can ask Gemini to find or ring a Pixel Tag using a voice command.

Pixel Watch 5: Advances in Health

The Pixel Watch 5 features several health-focused updates. The Google Health app now provides monthly summaries of blood pressure and insulin resistance trends, helping users identify patterns over time.

The watch is available in two sizes: 41 mm for $399 and 45 mm for $429. A special Stephen Curry edition is also offered at $579, featuring an exclusive design for workouts.

Finally, the Pixel Buds Pro are now available in a new Olive color, adding a fresh touch to the lineup.
