Mendo Raises €12 Million to Boost AI in Europe

Mendo, a French startup founded in 2021 by Quentin Amaudry and Alexandre Pinon, recently raised €12 million in a Series A funding round. This fundraising, led by Ventech and Educapital, with participation from Tomcat and OVNI, aims to double the company's workforce from 50 to 100 employees and to intensify its commercial expansion across Europe. This operation follows a seed funding round of €3.5 million completed in October 2024.

The company stands out with its SaaS solution that integrates directly into the software used by teams, thereby facilitating learning in the users' usual work environment. Mendo is already supporting over 100 large organizations, such as PwC, Edenred, and Crédit Agricole, reaching nearly 100,000 employees across Europe.

Audrey Soussan, General Partner at Ventech, emphasizes that the adoption of AI, rather than budget constraints, is the main challenge for companies. Mendo addresses this issue by helping to identify existing use cases and deploying customized AI agents. Litzie Maarek, General Partner at Educapital, adds that to remain competitive, companies must train their employees to work with these AI agents.

Quentin Amaudry, co-founder and CEO of Mendo, stresses the importance of agency, a new era where AI becomes central to managing business operations. According to him, successfully making this transition requires engaging employees and reorganizing internal structures. The company also aims to identify the AI agents most likely to generate ROI based on their use cases.
