Meta launches Muse Wonder, initially for Muse Code subscribers

Meta adds two models, Muse Wonder and Muse Wonder Full, to its AI catalog. Available immediately to Muse Code subscribers, they are touted as capable of competing with the flagship models from OpenAI and Anthropic, based on internal testing. The integration of Wonder into the Muse agent is planned, with a gradual rollout and no timeline provided, while the comparison with Google's Gemini 4 Argon remains open.
Meta invests billions and expands Muse for the general public
These launches are part of a strategy presented as aggressive, aimed at re-establishing Meta among the leading players in AI. The company has injected billions into talent recruitment and infrastructure, and has expanded its portfolio with, among other things, the Muse Image model. The effort focuses on agents designed for public use via Muse. Prior to these two models, Meta had already launched Muse Spark, the first model from its revised Superintelligence Labs division, as well as the highly publicized Muse agent.

Immediate availability for Muse Code and planned integration into Muse
The two newcomers, Muse Wonder and Muse Wonder Full, are now launched and offered to Muse Code subscribers starting today. According to Meta, Wonder is also accessible via the Meta Model API. The company plans to equip the Muse agent with Wonder, initially for subscribers, and to develop specialized models that could be offered to all Muse users. However, no details or timeline have been provided for these steps.
Claimed performance against OpenAI and Anthropic, uncertainties regarding Google
Meta claims that its new models can compete with benchmarks from OpenAI and Anthropic, including GPT-6 Astra, Claude Opus 5.5, and Claude Fable 5.1, based on internal tests conducted across several benchmarks. The position relative to Google's Gemini 4 Argon remains uncertain, and the capabilities of the latter are yet to be clarified. This all takes place in a context where Meta is described as catching up in the AI market.
