Microsoft recently introduced a revamped version of its Microsoft 365 Copilot, featuring a cleaner design and doubled loading speed. This update aims to provide more reliable and structured responses, making navigation easier for users.
The new design, now available on both desktop and mobile devices, incorporates an innovative feature called “progressive disclosure.” This approach allows Copilot to present tools and controls based on specific user requests, thus avoiding option overload. Additionally, the input box has been enhanced to allow direct text formatting, dynamically adapting to the length of the entered or pasted content.
Meanwhile, Google has also rolled out a significant update to its Gemini AI application. This update enables the chatbot to structure its responses based on requests, thereby improving user interaction.
Within the Microsoft 365 application ecosystem, Copilot integrates into a sidebar, providing the ability to answer questions or suggest edits in documents. Users can also initiate a chat window from various elements such as a paragraph, a spreadsheet cell, or a slide.
