Microsoft Unveils Its Super App Copilot for 2023: An AI Revolution
Microsoft is working on a super app that combines chat, coding, and Copilot agent functionalities. During a financial results conference, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella stated that the app will cover "both consumer and business experiences" at its launch this year.
"Copilot is rapidly evolving from chat to Cowork and Autopilots," Nadella said. "This quarter, we are bringing together these Copilot experiences, including code, into a super app… This is a major step forward, and I look forward to sharing more information soon."
Nadella's confirmation comes a few months after a Fortune report revealed that Microsoft was developing a super app that merges its Copilot chatbot, GitHub Copilot coding assistant, Copilot Cowork, and its Autopilot agent system. Meanwhile, OpenAI recently unveiled its new ChatGPT Work app, which combines ChatGPT and its AI coding tool, Codex.
Microsoft's revenue reached $90 billion in the last quarter, with its AI and cloud activities driving this increase.
