The startup Natura presents Interface, a connected ring designed to interact with AI agents and control devices and apps via voice. Priced at $99 at launch, it promises up to 12 days of battery life and comprehensive health tracking, before the introduction of a monthly subscription.

Battery Life, Format, and Promised Differentiation by Natura

Natura announces a battery life ranging from 6 to 12 days depending on usage, with a charging time of 100 minutes. Carlo Edoardo Ferraris highlights a distinction through the combination of health functions and control of agents, meeting recording, and external memory, all in a very small format. He claims that the product is materially very different from existing options. In the face of health-oriented rings like those from Oura, Ultrahuman, or RingConn, and AI-focused options from Pebble and Vocci, the company bets on this assembly of capabilities to stand out.

AI Agents, Devices, and Apps Controllable on Demand

A simple touch is intended to summon an AI agent, trigger actions, and jot down ideas without pulling out the phone. Feedback can be relayed through wireless earbuds, real-time activity on iPhone, or via the NatureOS app. Users will have the option to assign each task to the agent or app of their choice, such as delegating code to Claude, making a reservation with Instinct, or sending a different request to Grokbot. The ring is also designed to control devices, including computers. Natura lists concrete use cases such as starting a running workout, checking the calendar upon waking, recommending shampoo in the shower, turning off the television, setting an alarm, or sending notes from a recorded meeting. Ferraris envisions replacing on-screen tasks with voice requests and believes that eventually, most computer usage will be handled by agents, with the ring becoming the primary interface.

Health Functions Monitored by the Ring

In addition to interactions with agents, the device offers health parameter tracking. It is expected to monitor heart rate, resting heart rate, and heart rate variability, analyze different sleep phases, and record daily physical activity as well as step count. Skin temperature will also be tracked over time.

Introductory Price, Anticipated Increase, and $9 Subscription After 3 to 6 Months

Interface is announced at $99 at launch, with a price increase planned thereafter. Natura explains that it wants to first increase user engagement, stimulate usage, and create demand before adjusting the price. After a free period of three to six months, a monthly subscription of $9 is expected. The company indicates that its manufacturing costs are comparable to those of other rings like Oura Ring or Samsung Galaxy Ring, due to similar components, and it is adopting a lower entry price to reduce the barrier to adoption.

Launch Compatibility, Project Origin, and Initial Target Audience

At launch, the ring is set to connect to Meta’s Muse, Instinct, Grokbot, Claude, ChatGPT, and other services. The project is led by Carlo Edoardo Ferraris, founder of Natura and former creator of Rolling Square, who advocates for the need for a new interface for rapidly evolving AI. Natura initially marketed AI earbuds, the HumanPods, before determining that the ring format was more suitable, including for wearing in the shower or at night, to provide 24/7 access to agents. Ferraris emphasizes that not everyone has a personal agent yet and anticipates initial adoption among users who are already equipped, especially in tech, while estimating that in about a year, most people will have one. Natura plans to open pre-orders next month and expects deliveries in December or January. The stated goal is to enable tasks to be accomplished more naturally while spending less time on the phone.
