The results published by Alphabet on April 29, 2026, show that Google Search is reaching record levels in terms of revenue and the number of queries.
Google has also managed to reduce the latency of its searches by more than 35% over the past five years. The AI Mode and AI Overviews services, powered by Gemini 3, are particularly popular, while the cost of AI responses has decreased by over 30% due to technological advancements.
In total, Alphabet generated $109.9 billion in revenue for the quarter, marking a 22% increase compared to the previous year, with net profits reaching $62.6 billion, an increase of 81%.
Google Cloud: A Growth Engine
The Google Cloud business has experienced impressive growth, with quarterly revenues exceeding $20 billion, representing a 63% year-over-year increase. The order book for Google Cloud has nearly doubled, reaching over $460 billion. Enterprise AI solutions have become the main driver of this growth, with a 40% increase in the number of paying users of Gemini Enterprise in just one quarter.
Chrome and AI Integration
Chrome is transforming into a central interface for Google's "personal intelligence," integrating Gemini to summarize pages and conduct searches. The "Auto Browse" feature allows Gemini 3 to navigate and interact directly within Chrome. However, this option is currently reserved for AI Pro and AI Ultra subscribers in the United States.
Other Successes of Google
YouTube remains a major player, with over 200 million hours of content viewed daily by American viewers. Additionally, more than 10 million channels publish Shorts every day.
Waymo, Google's autonomous taxi service, has also seen rapid growth, reaching over 500,000 fully autonomous rides per week.
In preparation for its I/O conference scheduled for May 19, Google clearly demonstrates that AI does not threaten its operations but has become the engine of growth.
